Who or What are You Comparing Yourself To?

Most of us know the story of Snow White’s stepmother – she was obsessed with comparing herself to her stepdaughter. That obsession would eventually destroy her.

If we are not careful, we will find ourselves doing the same thing – constantly comparing ourselves to others. Instead of seeing ourselves clearly as God designed us to be, our view of ourselves becomes distorted. Women especially struggle in this area. We compare ourselves to others which leads us to stress over our body image, our finances, even whether we are good enough. As Teddy Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Join us next Wednesday, October 12th, via Zoom, as we discuss this important topic of “comparison.” How do we find joy and contentment in who God made us to be? How do we really internalize that we truly are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
