Wednesday Wisdom

Words hold incredible power—once spoken, they can heal or they can wound, but they can never be taken back. Carl Sandburg said it well: “Be careful with your words, once they are said, they can only be forgiven, not forgotten.” Scripture reminds us of this truth over and over, with more than 120 passages urging us to watch what we say.

As you begin your day, let Psalm 141:3 be your prayer: “Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips.” May we choose words that build up, encourage, and bring life—never words that tear down or destroy.
