Tuesday Thoughts: Are You Thirsty for God?

Do you ever feel a deep, unshakable longing for God? A thirst—not just for His blessings, but for His presence, His voice, His heart?

In Psalm 63:1, David cried out,“O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.”

David didn’t just seek God spiritually—he pursued Him with his whole being: mentally, emotionally, and physically. That kind of desire isn’t casual. It’s intimate, intentional, and constant.

When I look at the world around me—full of noise, distractions, and disappointments—I recognize it as the “parched and weary land” David described. It makes me long even more for God and for His coming Kingdom.

What about you?Do you relate to David’s cry?Have you ever experienced that kind of thirst for God?I’d love to hear your thoughts and how you pursue intimacy with Him in your own life.
