Thankful Thursday - Count Your Blessings

Many of us know the old hymn “Count Your Blessings”—and its message is just as true today as it was in 1897 when Johnson Oatman, Jr. penned the words: “Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings, see what God hath done.”

It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s going wrong or what’s missing, that we overlook the countless ways God has already blessed us. I often remind myself that if God never did another thing for me, He has already done more than enough. The moment He gave His Son for my sins, my cup was already overflowing.

Today, pause and reflect. Count your blessings—name them, one by one—and see just how much He has done for you. Gratitude changes everything.
