Thankful Thursday

“Freedom is not free.” That truth doesn’t just apply to our nation—it applies to our salvation as well. As children of God, we live in the joy and freedom of being redeemed, but that freedom came at the highest cost. It wasn’t ours to pay—Jesus paid it for us.


I was reminded of this when I read a simple but powerful quote: “He came to pay a debt He didn’t owe, because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.”


Today, let your heart be filled with gratitude. Walk in the freedom Christ has given you, and take a moment to thank Him for the debt He paid on your behalf.


🙏 Prayer: Lord, thank You for the freedom I have in You. Thank You for paying the debt I could never pay and for giving me life and hope in return. Help me to live each day with a grateful heart, walking in the freedom of Your grace. Amen.
