This week, in honor of Women’s History Month, Women of Life has been highlighting the Unsung Heroines of the Bible.
We began with the courage of the midwives.
We heard the voice of Huldah.
We saw the wisdom of Abigail.
We learned the grateful waiting of Anna.
Today we end the week with five sisters — the daughters of Zelophehad.
When their father died with no sons, the law said they would receive no inheritance. But these women courageously brought their case before Moses and the leaders of Israel.
God declared that they were right.
Because of their boldness, the law was changed and their inheritance was secured.
Sometimes freedom comes when we have the courage to step forward and claim what God has already made available.
