“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall directyour paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV
I remember the day that God gave me the vision for Women of Life, and, in particular, “The Spiritual Boot Camp for Women.” He not only gave me the big picture, but so many small details. I was in awe of what God was sharing with me and of what He was calling me to do. I took it to heart and immediately began to work toward fulfilling the vision.
Even from the start, I knew it would not make sense to a lot of people (some of it didn’t even make sense to me). But, I was ready to accept the call and to be obedient.
And then the questions came:
“How are you going to do this?”
“How are you going to pay for it?”
“Are you qualified to do this?”
“Are you sure you heard from God?”
I knew there would be many obstacles and I knew there would be naysayers. But I must be honest; I was not prepared for “appearing foolish”. Yet deep down, I know there is often a price to be paid, in the short term, for being obedient. Am I willing to pay that price? Are you?
What has God called you to do? What “foolish” thing has He asked you to do? Are you willing to walk by faith? Are you ready to trust Him?
